Confidence
I guess you can say that I am very insecure. I guess you can say I’m never pleased with my body. I feel the need to be perfect…but I know that will never happen. I guess you can say I am beautiful in my own way. I don’t think it’s true. Having your mom and dad say that you’re the prettiest girl in the world, and all you can think is “I wish I had her hair, her...

To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others, you need to accept yourself. -Thich Nhat Hanah

Perception
Self-esteem is how you perceive yourself. It doesn’t matter what people think of you because no matter how you look, you still will be you on the inside. People’s perceptions of you come from your personality. So, you can dye your hair and change your clothes, but if you don’t feel like you, your self-esteem won’t go anywhere. SO EXPRESS YOURSELF!

Chance to Shine
She’s smart, talented, and funny, but they tell her she’s unworthy. She looks in the mirror and sees nothing but ugly. Yet, she doesn’t realize what an impression she leaves on the world. Don’t let the media think you are unworthy. Every one is beautiful. Every one deserves a chance. Believe in yourself and you will go far.

Ugly-Fat-Unpopular
That’s what they call me. It’s not fair. Why do they get to decide what is beautiful? But, I don’t care what they say because I think I am beautiful. My friends love me, my family loves me. In a few years, these people will be gone and maybe then people will call them ugly, fat, or unpopular. But, they won’t feel as beautiful as I do because I am much stronger.

Truth
Most people, especially girls and women, feel pressured by society to fit certain standards of beauty. But, how can anyone be perfect? Each and every person is made uniquely…and instead of seeing their own self worth, they focus on trying to conform. Each and every person has something to contribute to the world, and each and every person has so much to accomplish in life. Worrying about...

Beautiful No Matter What
They tell me my  Hair should be straight and my Skin should be tan and my Teeth should be straight. But I see their lies, Because I am Curly-haired and  Pale and  Crooked-toothed. And even though I may not be Perfect, I know that I am Pretty. And even if I need  Something else to be  Perfect, What if that’s not what I want?

Reminder for women.
pinakbeth: Dear girls, outside beauty defines only what’s temporary and fleeting. But your inner beauty defines what is eternal and lasting. Be secured in your own beauty. :) No need to be insecure about trivial things. :)

Reality Check
If Barbie was an actual woman, she would be 5’9” tall, have a 39” bust, an 18” waist, 33” hips and a size 3 shoe. • Barbie calls this a “full figure” and likes her weight at 110 lbs. • At 5’9” tall and weighing 110 lbs, Barbie would have a BMI of 16.24 and fit the weight criteria for anorexia. She likely would not menstruate. • If Barbie was a real woman, she’d have to walk on all fours due...
